This website is operated by the local franchise group behind the Applebee's + IHOP restaurants listed on our Locations & Menus page ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it. It applies to this website only — the official ihop.com and applebees.com websites we link to have their own privacy policies.
Information you give us
We collect information only when you choose to give it to us through the forms on this site:
- Guest Comments: your first and last name, email address, phone number, the location and date of your visit, and your message.
- Catering requests: your first and last name, email address, phone number, event details, and your preferred location.
- Contact form: your first and last name, email address, phone number, and your message.
- Deals & coupons signup: your email address and your consent to receive promotional emails.
How we use it
- To read and respond to your feedback, questions, and catering requests — that's the whole point of this site.
- If you sign up for deals, to send you promotional emails about our restaurants. We only send marketing emails to people who checked the consent box, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How your information travels
- Form submissions are delivered to our team's email inbox by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-delivery service that processes your submission in order to email it to us.
- This site loads fonts from Google Fonts; like any web request, that involves your browser contacting Google's servers.
- If you type a city or zip code into the location search, the text you typed is sent to OpenStreetMap's geocoding service (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to find coordinates. It is not stored by us.
- If you tap "Nearest to me," your browser asks your permission and then shares your approximate location with the page only — it is used in your browser to sort the list and is never sent to us or stored.
- Links to menus, ordering, and directions take you to ihop.com, applebees.com, and Google Maps, which operate under their own privacy policies.
Cookies & local storage
This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. We use your browser's local storage for one thing: remembering that you've seen or dismissed the deals popup so it doesn't keep reappearing. That information stays on your device.
How long we keep it
Form submissions live in our business email until they're no longer needed for handling your request or maintaining our records. Promo-list signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Your choices
- Emails: use the unsubscribe option, or email us and ask to be removed.
- Access or deletion: email us at matt@yourihop.com and we'll tell you what we have from you and delete it on request, as required by applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act for our California guests).
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Kids are welcome at the pancake table — just not on the mailing list.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
